Statement of Job This position is a professional level position through which the Small Business Centers counseling, training and technical assistance services are provided to small business owners. The Small Business Counselor works with entrepreneurs, individuals, and firms developing new products, technologies or markets. This position is expected to provide a broad range of business advice and in-depth assistance to a sizeable number of clients in Pitt County. The Small Business Counselor reports to the Small Business Center Director. Essential Job Functions The Small Business Counselor is responsible for client counseling. This responsibility includes direct client contact in one-on-one meetings and through telephone, e-mail, and written communication.
