Your role in our mission

1. Support application development of Medicaid Payer Systems, including design, development, and testing.
2. Create highly complex design documents and translate them into component-level designs to accelerate development. Develop strategies, design, and data gathering approaches.
3. Lead development efforts to provide flexible, reusable components to increase cost-effectiveness. Analyze, design, and review application designs to ensure customer specifications are met.
4. Utilize experience in development methodologies, coding documentation, testing, and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, specifications, and detailed designs.
5. Participate in code reviews.
6. Develop and execute test plans for unit and performance testing.
7. Apply Gainwell and third-party technologies to software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity.
8. Follow defined system development life cycle processes and local procedures.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics applications (experience with Dynamics 365, Finance & Operations, or previous versions like AX or NAV is a plus).
• Strong understanding of SQL, Oracle, and other databases.
• 2+ years of application development experience in Healthcare Payer Systems, preferably in Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
• 2+ years of functional knowledge in areas such as Claims processing, Member Eligibility, Managed Care, Reference, Drug Rebate, TPL, Prior Authorization, Pharmacy claims, Provider Enrollment, Provider Management, and Financial.

• Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
• Proficiency with testing tools, unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.
• Understanding of quality and security standards.
• Effective communication of design and functions internally and with external clients.
• Self-motivated problem solver with active participation in solution development.
• Adherence to the systems development life cycle processes and procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams, BAs, and PMs to understand project scope and requirements.
• Strong mentoring and training skills to guide less experienced team members.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

The pay range for this position is $69,400 - $99,200 annually, with actual offers depending on geographic location, experience, and other factors.
