What You'll Do:

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator (CIC) will be responsible for ensuring that the Service Department meets Elite Support requirements on an ongoing basis and ensures they meet all Elite Support criteria to be certified on an annual basis. The CIC will promote a culture of Continuous Improvement through change management, personal effectiveness, coaching, team building, problem solving and ensuring the dealerships goals match the strategy and vision of VVG. You will administer Safety initiatives to help EHS carry out safety programs and requirements in the organization. Coordinate and supervise building maintenance activities as necessary.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Promote a culture of Elite Support and Continuous Improvement
  • Meeting Elite Support criteria annually
  • Reporting requirements
    • 5S Audits, Express Assessment Tracking - Monthly
    • Submitting a Continuous Improvement event - Quarterly
    • Performing Elite Support Criteria Self- Assessment - Semi-Annually
  • Hold / Facilitate regular Change Management Team meetings (minimum of 1 a month)
  • Have a prepared agenda
  • Use action plans
    • Use Structured Problem Solving to find opportunities for improvement
  • Set up / Maintain Communication boards for Continuous Improvements and for each department
  • Post CI Metrics
    • Post department KPI's
  • Assist department managers develop and map out processes
  • Help with / facilitate 5S projects
  • Attend Monthly VVG CIC meetings via web conferencing
  • Attend Daimler's scheduled monthly web meetings
  • Attend Daimler's annual CIC Summit
  • Set personal goals and dealership goals annually
  • Work with VVG Dealer Family CIC (DFCIC) to ensure the dealerships strategy and vision for CI is aligned with VVG corporate strategy and vision
Qualification and Skills:
  • Leadership
  • Organized
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with different levels of employee/ management
  • Preferred 1+ years of Heavy Truck Dealership experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Power Point
Compensation:
  • $18-$22/hour depending on skills and experience
