We are seeking a Market Director, Business Development for our Southeast Complex team, responsible for driving growth and expanding business opportunities within the territory. This role is remote within the Southeast (FL, GA, SC, NC).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage recruiting pipelines within the territory.
  2. Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  3. Track pipeline activities systematically.
  4. Communicate the Equitable Advisor Value Proposition effectively.
  5. Evaluate advisor practices for compliance and portability.
  6. Create a high-quality lead flow and maintain a multi-sourced pipeline.
  7. Build strong partnerships with HQ and field leaders.
  8. Stay informed on market trends and the competitive landscape.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary is $150,000, with eligibility for variable compensation. Equitable offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in financial services or wealth management.
  • Deep understanding of advisor practice management.
  • Expertise in financial products and client solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 65 registrations.
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and follow-through skills.

Skills

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of financial industry trends, regulations, and client advising.

Influencing & Negotiation: Effective influencing tactics and negotiation skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Results Orientation: Ability to achieve outcomes despite challenges, leveraging resources effectively.

Prospecting & Sales: Skills in identifying potential clients, closing sales, and making formal proposals.

Territory Management: Managing and optimizing performance across geographical areas.
