Director of Montessori Elementary Programs in Pittsboro, North Carolina, United States

As a collaborative member of the Willow Oak Montessori leadership team, the Director of Elementary Programs will oversee the flow and implementation of the scope and sequence in the instructional programs at the elementary level. They will facilitate the ongoing development and alignment of the Montessori elementary programs with the NC Standard Course of Study. They will meet regularly with our testing coordinator to determine areas of improvement and professional development needed for teachers. They will attend training to be a Montessori Coach and conduct regular observations of the classrooms. They will support an authentic Montessori Elementary Program and Pedagogy. The Program Director will keep current on best practices used in established and successful Public Montessori elementary programs.

Start Date: August 1, 2024
Contract Term: Full-time, 11 months

Special Qualifications:
Valid Elementary Montessori certificate for 6-12 from a MACTE-accredited training program, Bachelor's Degree, Classroom experience across the full 6-12 plane of development.
