A growing manufacturing company in Greenville, NC has partnered with Robert Half to assist them in finding an experienced Senior Accountant. This onsite role requires a four year degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and strong QuickBooks experience. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Create and maintain journal entries while reconciling accounts to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data and reporting.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with organizational goals and market conditions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Monitor and forecast budgets to ensure effective allocation of resources.
• Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of financial transactions to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level accounting staff, fostering growth and development.
Job requirements
• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formula creation and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of pricing strategies and their impact on financial performance.
• Solid knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.
• Expertise in preparing journal entries, fixed assets and reconciling accounts.
• Familiarity with financial statement preparation and compliance requirements.
