As a Store Manager Trainee, you'll train on all aspects of successfully running a store in preparation for running your own store. You'll be involved in supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, identifying staffing needs, managing schedules and developing operational action plans while mentoring and developing the team.

Estimated Hours: 48-50 hours per week
Store Manager Trainee Starting Wage: $28.50 per hour
Estimated Store Manager Earning Potential Year 1: Up to $92,500 (inclusive of salary and bonus when applicable)

Full-Time Store Manager Trainees are frequently required to travel within a 50-mile radius of the location/area applied to.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

1. Supervises the day-to-day operations and performance of the team to provide the highest level of customer service.
2. Understands the overarching company strategy and communicates and models the core values of the organization.
3. Handles customer concerns and ensures an appropriate resolution.
4. Ensures proper store signage is maintained and the quality and freshness of ALDI products.
5. Assists in the hiring of store personnel by reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates.
6. Prepares, manages, and revises weekly schedules to ensure appropriate store staffing levels.
7. Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
8. Conducts store meetings.
9. Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports.
10. Conducts annual performance evaluations, recommending store personnel for advancement or termination.
11. Achieves store payroll and total loss budgets.
12. Manages cash audits according to company guidelines.
13. Monitors the competitive environment and makes recommendations for adjustments.
14. Provides product feedback to the direct leader.
15. Provides a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors.
16. Oversees product merchandising and maintains proper stock levels.
17. Conducts store inventory counts according to company guidelines.
18. Complies with all established company policies and procedures.
19. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

1. Ability to stock merchandise and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights.
2. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
3. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

1. You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI.

12. Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
3. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
4. Prior management experience preferred.

Travel:

Full-Time Store Manager Trainees will often train at multiple locations and must have flexibility to travel within divisional requirements.
