Description:

FindTalent is partnering with a leading data center construction company to hire an experienced Senior Project Manager for large-scale Data Center construction projects. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of data center projects, from initial planning through to successful completion. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with experience managing complex projects in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage large-scale Data Center construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
2. Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
3. Develop and monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and cost control.
4. Supervise the execution of work, ensuring compliance with project specifications, design requirements, and safety standards.
5. Collaborate with clients to establish clear project goals, address concerns, and meet expectations.
6. Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules.
7. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and adjust schedules as necessary.
8. Lead efforts to optimize project cash flow through timely billing and collections.
9. Provide project updates, status reports, and forecasts to senior leadership and clients.
10. Oversee the preparation and management of RFPs, Change Management Forms, and other documentation.
11. Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their growth within the company.
12. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and team performance.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

1. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale Data Center construction projects.
2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, cabling, and fit-out specific to Data Center environments.
3. Extensive experience with project management, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management in complex construction settings.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
6. Ability to lead and motivate teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive resolution and continuous improvement.
8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing project needs.
9. Ability to travel as needed for site visits and client meetings.

Experience/Education:

1. 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5+ years focused on large-scale, complex Data Center or IT infrastructure projects.
2. Experience managing Data Center electrical distribution systems, cabling, and white space fit-outs.
3. Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
4. PMP, PMI-SP, or similar certifications are a plus.
5. Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered.
