Want a job where your role is critical to the company's overall success?If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for teamwork, and a background in the steel industry, we want to talk with you!We are seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our SHOP team in Farmville, NC.You will be required to pass a FCAW On-Site Welding Test.In this role, you will be responsible for welding or fitting various metal pieces together to create a final product using the customer's specifications or drawings. The schedule for this position is M-F 6am-4:45pm and plus overtime as needed with occasional Saturday work.We are proud to offer:Pay range: $18 - $27 / hourMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off401K with company matchHealth savings accountGrowth opportunitiesGreat trainingYour responsibilities as a Welder/Fabricator:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine project specifications.Operate welding equipment to cut, weld, and fabricate metal components/structures.Fit up miscellaneous transitions at interfaces between equipment.Use various tools, machinery, and equipment such as drills, grinders, saws, forklifts, boom lifts, etc.Complete customer's needs on the project, if it does not involve financial changes to the contract Inspect welds for accuracy and quality assurance.Align, fit, measure, layout, and inspect parts, mark cutting lines, gather materials, and operate machinery.Welding in all positionsPerform routine maintenance on welding equipment.Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.Mig Welder/Fabricator qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDWelding certificate or Diploma2+ years of welding experience using hand and power tools to install or repair equipment.Fabrication and shop experience preferred.All candidates must have a valid driver's license, and pass a drug screen, and background checks.Demonstrate ability to tactfully manage difficult situations.Independently perform duties with minimal direction and supervision.Must live within commuting distance of Farmville, NCWe do not offer sponsorship for a work Visa.Since 1969, Farrior Steel Works has been providing innovative, superior, and unique solutions to industrial material handling, millwright services, and plant construction/maintenance through design excellence, quality fabrication, and safe efficient product installation that keeps customer operations efficient and profitable.We are committed to honesty, and integrity and to maintaining a financially strong business that provides a good quality of life for its employees in support of our country, community service, and religious activity.If you have Welder/Fabricator experience and want to grow with an industry leader, APPLY today, and be sure to attach a copy of your resume.
