The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you'll do:
Eaton FED in Middlesex, NC is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and drive programs to enable the facility to meet regulatory and corporate requirements. The EHS Manager supports the creation of a strong culture that engages employees in the achievement of the company's goal of a "Zero Incident" Culture. This role is accountable for: directing EHS activities at the location, establishing EHS objectives and targets; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for: maintaining ISO 14001 certification; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for site personnel; managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions; directing actions during crises; creating a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead the creation of the site EHS targets and objectives in support of corporate, regional and business group EHS strategic initiatives designed to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
•Drives preventative and proactive action projects to mitigate and eliminate risks through root cause identification and corrective actions for environmental, safety and health activities.
•Ensures that the federal, state, and local EHS regulations are met including air, land, and water to provide a safe working environment for employees, and a clean and healthful environment for the community.
•Work to assign MESH cross-functional element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
•Use established EHS data processes to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
•Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
•Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations including: RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC, CAA, CWA, etc.
•Ensure environmental compliance reports are submitted accurately and on time.
•Serve as liaison with applicable external regulatory agencies during compliance audits.
•Develop and manage compliance trainings and site-wide communications to address near misses, incidents, and to promote employee engagement.
•Provide guidance and support for the Eaton's Management of Change Program. (facilities changes, chemical reviews, and process changes).
•Motivate and drive culture change toward zero incident EHS culture.
•Manage and implement EHS Training Plan
•Maintains a safe working environment. Abides by all safety requirements. Designs safety into every process and activity.
