**Description**

**Wastequip is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist for our Statesville, NC manufacturing location. The Inventory control Specialist is responsible for overseeing inventory flow through the facility in a timely and accurate manner; responsible for conducting cycle counts, identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies and leading efforts to resolve.**

****Responsibilities****

* Schedule and conduct cycle count activities as directed. Trouble-shoot, understand and resolve cycle count errors. Partner with Finance and IT to understand and resolve cycle count system discrepancies

* Create and monitor an effective and efficient space utilization plan. Maintain adequate storage for on-site inventory. Train assigned staff on proper inventory and record-keeping procedures

* Conduct quarterly review of inventory records with an emphasis on identification, explanation, and reconciliation of trends and variances as required

* Works with the Value Stream Manager and Senior Planner to coordinate and conduct accurate and complete physical inventory counts of finished goods; helps to investigate and clarify discrepancies.

* Check/verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality

* Collaborate with Leadership to ensure awareness and seeks assistance on issues that negatively impact production efforts/expectations

* Develop and document processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution; maintain accurate and detailed records

* Participates in and may occasionally lead continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities to improve profitability, reliability and overall product performance

* Support research and development activities when needed

* Works with the purchasing and acquisition teams in a consulting-type role when needed

* Works in unison with management team members to achieve the organizations strategic and financial goals

* Audit periodically weight to understand material consumption vs BOM

* Receive resin shipments into system

* Transfer raw materials between STV plant and Acuna/Del Rio (only for resin, colorant, metallocene, calcium)

* Coordinate with resin coordinator to bring railcars as needed

* Order colorant based on backlog analysis

* Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

* Intermediate to Advance Excel Skills

* Strong Administrative and Communication Skills

* Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
