**RELOCATION PACKAGE PROVIDED**


This is an on-site position (Mon-Fri) in Goldsboro, NC, which is about 50 miles southeast of Raleigh. Foundation in manufacturing operations or engineering needed.


Base: $145,000-155,000 + bonus


ABOUT THE ROLE:

The primary responsibilities are to maintain a safe manufacturing environment and to achieve overall business objectives including: safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and lean directives set by the business. The Operations Manager plays a key role in communicating and supporting the operational vision and goals of the business.

  • Manage operations to achieve/exceed- agreed upon growth, revenue, and financial objectives. Ensuring operations meet profitability roles.
  • Establish Operational performance metrics, standards and measurements for direct reports and the operation as a whole.
  • Direct machine shop team in accordance with policies, principles and procedures established to achieve the business unit, company, and customer objectives.
  • Monitor and measure performance to plan. Deliver timely, objective, and actionable feedback on the performance plan.

Develops plans for efficient use of materials, space, machines, and employees.

Assists in the review production costs and product quality, and modifies production, procedures, and programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of company.

Reviews production orders, schedules, and shortages to determine best product flow to plan department operations.

In coordination with the planning department works to establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, shipping, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor s Degree from four-year college in a relevant field
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Lead Six Sigma Certification
  • 8+ years of experience in fast paced manufacturing setting
