We are looking for someone to join our team in working with others to provide opportunities for the people who use our day services, to have fun, do new things, achieve their goals and to be fully part of their local community. This role involves offering care and support to older people with physical disabilities, age related conditions and Dementia. This includes transporting service users to and from their homes to day services in a safe and proper manner as well as trips out in the community as part of a planned activity and supporting them to take part in activities in and out of the day centre. Part of the role involves supporting people with their personal and intimate care needs for which training will be given.

You will be in possession of a valid UK Driving Licence with a category D1 entitlement and will need to pass a Welfare Ambulance driving assessment which will be provided. You need to be physically able to support people in wheelchairs on and off vehicles, a task which involves some manual handling for which you will receive training. Another part of the role is to ensure that vehicles are road worthy and to carry out daily and weekly checks.
