Tips for Your Post-Interview Thank You Letter

There are several things that need doing after your interview, but writing up a thank you letter should be at the top of your list. This is more than just a mere formality, and something you should invest significant effort into. While you are applying for Greenville jobs, here is how you should go about putting together your post-interview thank you.

1. Keep it professional: thank you letters can be more personalized than cover letters, but it is still a good idea to keep them formal and professional. Thank yous written in this way are more likely to impress.

2. Send one to each person you interviewed with: if you interviewed with more than one individual, it is a good idea to send a thank you to each interviewer. Customize each thank you, and have them address the topics that came up during your time with each person you spoke with.

3. Email it: you want to send your thank you letter as soon as possible (within 48 hours), so email it. Emailing thank you letters is an acceptable and common practice. It doesn’t even have to be an attached document. You could have your thank you in the body of the email, so long as it is concise and well written.

4. Send one even if you don’t get the job: if you get turned down, it is still a good idea to send a letter thanking them for your time. This will end your interaction with the company on a positive note, and they may remember you down the line for it.
